It really depends on when you want to visit. The best times would be around its drier seasons, like between the end of November and the end of April. Other than that, it is humid all year round, and that is because it is on the Caribbean Sea. Temperatures sit somewhere between 75 and 88 ºF (24 - 31 ºC), Lots of tourists come here from around the world, and it is comparable to Florida’s Miami. It’s fairly easy to get there from the United States. All you have to do is find a plane that takes you to Florida because Florida is the hub that seems to link South America and many other Latin American countries. You may sometimes find direct flights from New York to Colombia; be sure to check the airlines. If you choose to travel by bus from cities such as Santa Marta, Barranquilla, or Bucaramanga, the trips can be somewhere around 3 hours or less.
Most people here love to visit the beaches like Playa de Bocagrande, visit the walled city, eat at the restaurants, boat to the various islands, and stroll the art district of Getsemani
When you travel around the main zone in Cartagena, it shouldn’t cost you any more than 10,000 Colombian pesos ($2.20 USD) to get around anywhere. You’ll get cheaper prices using rideshare apps. Just remember to negotiate with the locals when hailing a taxi. When you go to restaurants, make sure you confirm the prices; when you eat on the beaches, make sure you confirm the prices; and when you hop on boats to other islands, yes, make sure you confirm the prices. Last but not least, if you want affordable housing while you're in Cartagena, consider checking out hostels. They’re super cheap and can be as low as 8,000 Colombian pesos ($ 1.76 USD) a night.
